Join our growing Distribution team today!\nWhy Work for UNFI?\n\u2022 Starting Pay $22.25/hr + Incentive pay per case\n\u2022 Increase to $24.25/hr after 2 consecutive weeks of 1\n...\n00%+ Productivity\n\u2022 Weekend Differential $2.00/hr\n\u2022 Freezer Differential $2.00/hr\n\u2022 Comprehensive Medical insurance coverage with prescription drug coverage\n\u2022 Dental and Vision insurance\n\u2022 401(k) plan with employer match\nPOSITION PURPOSE:\nResponsible for having a strong understanding of the equipment he/she uses, pick locations, pallet building, productivity measures and safety procedures.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:\n\u2022 Inspects assigned jack for safety issues\n\u2022 Enters the proper information into the productivity measure\n\u2022 Identifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the order\n\u2022 Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC\u2019s or item descriptions\n\u2022 Places pick labels on the side of the cases\n\u2022 Correctly identifies Master Case locations\n\u2022 Identifies and immediately reports miss-located products\n\u2022 Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information\n\u2022 Stages pallets in appropriate bay\n\u2022 Listens for first and last call and obtains all out of stocks in a timely manner\n\u2022 Keeps area clean and debris out of work area\n\u2022 Immediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats\n\u2022 Obtains aisle-cleaning assignment\n\u2022 Operates pallet jack/push cart in a safe and efficient manner\n\u2022 Reports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policy\n\u2022 Builds a stable and well cubed pallet\n\u2022 Parks and recharges pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of your shift\n\u2022 Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location\n\u2022 Other duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\u2022 Understanding of Safety guidelines\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems\n\u2022 Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required\n\u2022 Understanding of WMS preferred but not required\n\u2022 Ability to select at established minimum rate for department\n\u2022 Astute, close attention to detail\n\u2022 Understand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezer\n\u2022 Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation\n\u2022 Possess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes\n\u2022 Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\u2022 Lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs. consistently\n\u2022 Occasionally pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping.
