Immediate opening right now for an AWAKE Overnight Friday through Monday from 10 pm to 6 am.\nOvernights are great shifts if you're a student, to supplement another job, or to get back into the workforce. Overnights are also great shifts to work if you're new to the field and want to learn more or if you've spent years in the field and want to step back from the fast paced day shifts.\nOvernights\n...\nrequire ongoing supervision for safety and support and interaction with members on a minimal basis. There is cleaning and organizing to do, but also a lot of downtime. It takes a special skill to be awake all night, but if that's you and you care for people this is the job you want.\nThe schedule is split between two group homes in the city of Bangor. Friday and Saturday nights are worked in one home, Sunday and Monday nights are worked in another home. A total of 32 hours over 4 nights.\nWe are the highest around at $18 to start!! As a vital part of our care team, you will provide personalized support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, in a group home setting. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and engaging in social work to enhance their overall well-being. If you are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.\nDuties\n- Provide direct care to individuals with autism and/or ID, including assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.\n- Support individuals with their healthcare needs, including medication administration, and other care as needed\n- Assist with household chores, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.\n- Engage in social work to promote independence and social skills among residents.\n- Collaborate with other care professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.\n- Encourage and support residents in their personal interests and hobbies.\n- Participate in regular training and education to improve skills and knowledge in member care and social work.\nSkills\n- Ability to transfer and assist members with mobility issues.\n- Experience in group home settings or similar environments.\n- Strong understanding of member care and medication administration.\n- Familiarity with senior care in some cases\n- Knowledge of social work principles and practices.\n- Comfortable working with individuals with autism, dementia and/or other needs.\n- Ability to work effectively with others, including family members and healthcare professionals.\n- Commitment to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs.\nJob Type: Part-time\nPay: $18.00 - $18.73 per hour\nBenefits:\n\u2022 Paid time off\nWork Location: In person
